Birch Creek is hiring to lead Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for utility-scale solar and storage assets under development. In this role, the Senior Vice President of EPC will be asked to:
- Act as the company’s primary stakeholder for all EPC related matters
- Own relationships with major equipment vendors and third-party EPC contractors
- Manage the EPC contracting process
- Operate as the Birch Creek owner’s representative for all projects being constructed and retained
- Oversee the construction process, schedules, and budgets
- Devise and run a program for internal and external construction management
- Provide guidance to the development team on EPC cost estimating and strategic acquisitions
- Lead and manage the interface with Operations & Maintenance and Asset Management
- Demonstrate leadership in the area of safety and devise programs and best practices to support safe construction environments
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of utility-scale EPC experience working with IPPs, developers, or owners in the renewable energy industry
- Proficiency in contract negotiations and vendor management with an emphasis on on-time and on-budget execution
- Strong work ethic and ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills when working with people internally and externally
- Ability to think creatively to solve complex engineering, construction and technical problems that affect profitability on a project level basis
